I am an athlete in the sport of “fitness”.
For me the sport of fitness took hold as I trained to be a United States Marine. I was expected to push myself to my limits on a daily basis. My training has carried me through my life and kept me focused. Outside of being a Marine, coaching is who I am.

Liz Carpinella
Coach

Level 1 Crossfit Certified Trainer
-
Level 1 Ma Strength Olympic Lifting Certification
-
American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED Certification

Liz grew up in Hamden, Connecticut, where during her childhood she stayed active with sports playing soccer, basketball, softball, swimming, diving and doing ballet.
Throughout high school Liz played varsity volleyball and continued to play club in college. Liz graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2012. She found Crossfit in 2013 through the recommendation of a friend and was instantly hooked. Crossfit offered the communal and team aspect that she was missing from organized sports, yet allowed her to be competitive and develop as an individual.
Liz began her coaching career through Crossfit True’s rigorous coaching internship and training program in 2016. After successfully completing the program, she moved to Stamford where she joined the Crossfit Affinity family. Liz is excited to bring new energy to the well established coaching staff at Crossfit Affinity.
